Console flicker updating when win32
Earlier at MMS this year, a fantastic session on modern driver management in OS deployments was presented by Kim Oppalfens and Tom Degreef. I was inspired by their session and wanted to see if this could work with Lenovo's BIOS updates in a similar manner.
The workflow is basically the same, with the key piece being the overridable task sequence variable in the Download Package Content step called You can name these however you want as long as you have the 1st 4 characters of the BIOS in the Name field.
And i am trying to make some motion in the window, by drawing a rectangle with one of its vertex folo my mouse cursor, but the rectangle seem too be static.
you do not need all 3): 1) Don't provide a background HBRUSH when you create the window (give it NULL instead) 2) Handle the WM_ERASEBACKGROUND message and have it do nothing instead of actually erasing the background.
3) Don't invalidate the window when you want to redraw... If you want to avoid flicker, the best way is to draw to an offscreen DC, then Blit that DC to the display.
Create another Package named Get-BIOSPackages (or whatever you want).
This will contain the source path of the Power Shell script that will dynamically match the system's BIOS to the appropriate Package ID as well as the Tick the box to save the path as a variable named BIOS.
You don't need to create and destroy the backbuffer every time.
